FORMER US Open finalist Greg Rusedski will be in the Island next week for the International tennis tournament at Les Ormes. The 36-year-old former British player, who has this week been cast as a favourite to replace Davis Cup captain John Lloyd, works for the LTA as a talent and performance ambassador. Tournament organiser Hugh Raymond confirmed Rusedski's attendance adding that another suggested replacement for Lloyd, Leon Smith, will also be travelling over for the event.

ANDY Murray admits Britain's Davis Cup team are split over who their new captain should be. The LTA have heeded Murray's call for the players to have a say in the search for a successor to John Lloyd, who quit on Wednesday following five straight defeats. But after speaking to team-mates including brother Jamie and pal Ross Hutchins the British No.1 revealed they couldn't agree on who's the best man for the job.

While holder Rafa Nadal took three sets to overcame towering American John Isner 7-5 3-6 6-3, second seed Djokovic was eliminated in a match lasting one hour and 44 minutes. The Serbian world number two, champion here in 2008, lost his serve in the sixth game of the second set and sent a forehand service return long to hand Ljubicic victory. Ljubicic, the 20th seed, fired down 13 aces to record only his second win against Djokovic in seven meetings.
